Sports City

Cemex Sports City in Assiut provides employees and their families with sports and social facilities at their disposal.

Sporting Facilities

The sporting facilities include a football stadium, Olympic size swimming pool, children swimming pools, hockey field, basketball and handball courts, sauna, Jacuzzis and a steam chamber.

Social Facilities

The social facilities include well-furnished accommodation facilities, cafeterias, and restaurants, along with wedding celebration halls and meeting facilities. These facilities have also been made available for our surrounding community in Assiut and other external guests; thus making the city more profitable.

Our Football Team

Since 2004, Cemex Egypt has had one of the most professional youth division setups in Upper Egypt, where more than 200 young talents receive professional training and supervision during their football development.

The Youngsters

Starting at the age of 7 years old till 21, our various teams have been competing in local competitions and achieving great results over the last 4 seasons which has allowed them to compete at more advanced levels.

These youngsters train 4 to 5 times a week aiming to achieve their dreams in becoming professional footballers one day.

Some of our trained youngsters have made it to the premium league and are now participating with first division clubs and representing the Egyptian national team.

Cemex football academy has been the dream of many youngsters in Assuit and upper Egypt as they wish to join the club and to show their interest in representing Assuit Cement “Cemex”.

Since 2004, Cemex Egypt had the privilege of founding one of the most professional youth division setups in Upper Egypt. This program has allowed for more than 200 young talents to pursue their dreams in becoming professional footballers by receiving hands on training and supervision to enhance their football development. Starting from ages 7 to 21, various teams have been competing in local tournaments and have achieved great results over the past 4 seasons, which has allowed them to participate at higher advanced levels. Every week, they train 4-5 times aspiring to reach their dreams to compete in bigger leagues and eventually become professional. In fact, some of them are now competing in first division clubs and have gone on to represent the Egyptian National Team.

Cemex Football Academy has been a dream come true for many adolescents living in Assuit and Upper Egypt as they didn’t have access to such a facility before. Now they can proudly be part of something bigger in their lives and belong to an established entity, proudly representing their governorate with Assuit Cement’s “Cemex”.

Our Farm

Cemex owns a farm that is located between Assiut Cement Club and Assiut Plant with a total land area of around 1100 acres. 80% of which is planted with various crops, like wheat , organic vegetables & fruits. The farm also includes cattle such as sheep and cows. The farm is using “Rotational Grazing technique” that is a very sustainable novel method used in different parts of the world to capture CO2 from the air and improve the quality of the soil as well as reduce the quantity of water used for irrigation.
