El Mohandes Cement

CEM II A-P (42.5) N
El Mohandas cement is a very special formula of Ordinary Portland cement that gives relatively delayed initial setting time, early compressive strength for concretes, and moderate heat of hydration for concrete and mortar.
Our interest in Assiut Cement Company - Cemex is to reduce pollution and carbon emissions resulting from the manufacture and use of cement.
The company took the lead in developing its El Mohandes cement product to CEM II A-P (42.5 N), aiming to use materials with pozzolanic properties with clinker, in line with Egyptian and international specifications. Pozzolana improves the properties of cement and concrete by reducing the reaction temperature and cracks, as it reduces the porosity of the concrete.

Relevant Information
Advantages
- It gives relatively high early compressive strength after (7 days).
- It gives high final compressive strength (28 days).
- It gives a relatively delayed setting time and reduces the ratio of concrete normal and super plasticizers admixtures (this admixture is used to delay initial setting time of concrete and give more workability).
- It reduces concretes cracks.
Packaging
- Bags: 50 Kg/bag .
- Jumbo plastic bags: 500 Kg/bag, 1000 Kg/bag, 1500 Kg/bag.
- It is also available in bulk.
Storage
It is recommended to follow the following instructions:
- Storage should be done in a dry place and away from ground moisture.
- It is preferable to store on wooden bases.
- Cement should be covered to avoid the rain.
- It is recommended not to pile up any more than eight bags.
Shelf time
It is recommended to retest the cement after 6 weeks from the production date.
Safety recommendations
It is recommended to follow the following instructions:
- Avoid contact of cement with eyes and skin since it may cause allergic reactions.
- Use gloves and glasses to protect hands and eyes in case of spray applications, or manual mixings.
Health effects
- Inhalation: May cause respiratory irritation. Repeated exposure to cement can cause damage to the lungs.
- Skin contact: Causes severe burns and may cause an allergic skin reaction.
- Eye contact: Causes serious eye damage.
First-aid measures
- Eye Contact: Flush the eyes with plenty of water and seek medical doctor advice.
- Skin Contact: Wash the skin with natural soap and water, use moisturizing cream, then consult medical doctor.
- Ingestion: Do not vomit or drink large amount of water and seek medical doctor advice.
- Inhalation: Move person to fresh air area, if the person is not breathing, make CPR (artificial respiration), and if there is difficulty in breathing, provide person with oxygen and seek medical doctor.
How to clean the cement remains of the used tools
- Before setting: by using clean water.
- After setting: by using mechanical methods.
Environment concept
It is advised and recommended to follow local environmental instructions.
