CEMEX Holds A Workshop for South Valley University Students
On the 19th of April, CEMEX held a workshop at South Valley University for the faculty of engineering students. The sessions of the workshop targeted mainly the students of Mechanical, Civil, Mechatronics and Architecture specializations.
The workshop had two sessions, one that was given by Dr. Mohamed Nabil, a civil engineer and the Marketing Manager at CEMEX. The session covered the main following topics:
- Chemical combinations in CEMEX products and their effect on heat of hydration
- The effect of cracks on building collapse
- The relation between the cement type and buildings collapse
The second session was given by Eng. Alaa Nagy, CEMEX Alternative Fuel Department, who focused on the topic of alternative fuel and its importance. Eng. Nagy further demonstrated on the topic highlighting the experience of CEMEX in this field.
The workshop was attended by students, professors and contractors which reflects the wide range of beneficiaries that CEMEX is always keen to help and support.
