President, CEMEX Egypt
With 19 years of industry experience, Mr. Menendez has served in diverse roles and geographic areas within CEMEX, including President of CEMEX Philippines, VP of Strategic Planning for Europe, Middle East, Asia and Africa, VP of Strategic Planning in Asia, Global Director of Commercial Processes, and Commercial Development Director for South America and the Caribbean.
Mr. Menendez holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and a Master's degree in Business Administration from Stanford University.
Vice President Operations and Technology
Mr. Felix serves as the Vice President of Operations and Technology. Mr. Felix holds a Bachelor Degree of Mechanical & Electrical Engineer from Monterrey Tech and a Masters degree in Business Administration from EGADE Business School in Mexico. Mr. Felix joined CEMEX in 1996 and served in prior roles including Regional Operations Director in Mexico, and has coordinated operations in Central America besides participating in projects and assignments in the United States. Mr. Felix has been director of Lime Sector, and the Bags Production Plants in Mexico.
Vice President Commercial and Logistics
As the Vice President of Commercial and Logistics Department, Mr. Caviedes is responsible for the sales and marketing of the cement sector and the delivery of all company cementious products to all clients nationwide, responsibilities also include Damiatta Terminal Management and all imports and exports related commercial agreements. Prior role, Mr. Caviedes held a leading position as Country Director for CEMEX China and previously Vice President Materials for CEMEX Spain.
Jesus Caviedes holds a Bachelor of Science of Civil Engineer from Monterrey Institute of Technology , he also has a MSc in Management from Stanford University.
Vice President for Strategic Planning and Public Affairs
Borhan El Din Mostafa Halim is the Vice President for Strategic Planning and Public Affairs for CEMEX in Egypt. Mr. Borhan brings to the management team a wealth of expertise gained from over 13 years of experience in the cement industry. Mr. Borhan joined CEMEX in Egypt in 2000 in the finance department.
Mr. Borhan holds a Bachelor of Commerce - English Section – Major in Accounting from Cairo University and an Executive MBA from L’Ecole Superieur De Commerce De Rennes- in France.
As the Director of Human Resources, Wafik Beshara is responsible for the company’s human resources development and training, compensation and benefits, labor relations, as well as the health, safety and security.
Since joining CEMEX in 2001, Wafik has held several leadership positions that enriched his career being an executive in the Strategic Planning and earlier roles include Marketing Research & Commercial Administration. Wafik holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the Arab Academy for Science & Technology.
Ready Mix And Institutional Sales Director
Hosny El Mahalawy serves as the Ready Mix and institutional sales Director of CEMEX Egypt. Prior to his current role, Mr. Hosny served as Plant manager, Operations Manager, and Sales Manager in CEMEX Ready Mix. Before joining CEMEX, Mr. Hosny served as Ready Mix operation manager in companies located in Gulf and Egyptian markets.
Mr. Hosny has over 20 years of experience in the construction materials industry and holds a BSC of Engineering degree and MBA from American University in Cairo."
Mr. Khaled Abdel Rahman is managing the procurement for all CEMEX operations in Egypt. His role is leading the procurement team to secure all the company needed supplies (raw materials, fuels, spare parts, materials and services) in the most economic options with the best quality, and on-time. Also, to coordinate regionally and with global sourcing teams to achieve the best alternatives for the company.
Khaled M. Abdel Rahman holds a Bachelor Degree in Engineering, and a MIBA in Strategic Planning and Management. He Joined CEMEX’s team in 2000 and since that time he is serving the company in the procurement field.
Business Service Organization Director
As Business services organization Director, Galal Abdel Samie is responsible for management and financial services, transactional services, treasury, process & information technology, internal control, tax compliance, and HR services. Galal joined CEMEX in 2000, and served in prior roles including financial information manager, accounts payable and general ledger manager, cost and fixed assets manager. Prior to joining CEMEX, Galal was Accounting manager in Assiut Cement company before its acquisition by CEMEX.
Galal holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Helwan University, Diploma in Audit from Assiut university, Diploma in Engineering Economy from Tabeen Institute for metallurgical studies, and MIBA degree in business administration from Eslsca -French business school. Galal is a member in board of directors in the commerce syndicate in Assiut.
Magdy Armia Samuel is the General Counsel of CEMEX Egypt. Prior to joining CEMEX, Mr. Samuel was with Afifi Law Office. Mr. Samuel has an experience with litigation in front of Civil, Labor, Commercial, and Misdemeanor courts. He has worked directly and indirectly in more than 850 disputes. Magdy has also advised many multinational companies regarding civil, commercial, investment and intellectual properties.
