Cemex owns a farm that is located between Assiut Cement Club and Assiut Plant with a total land area of around 1100 acres. 80% of which is planted with various crops, like wheat , organic vegetables & fruits. The farm also includes cattle such as sheep and cows. The farm is using “Rotational Grazing technique” that is a very sustainable novel method used in different parts of the world to capture CO₂ from the air and improve the quality of the soil as well as reduce the quantity of water used for irrigation.
