CEMEX celebrates Orphan’s Day with Assiut Community

Towards the end of August, CEMEX Egypt celebrated the Bairam Feast with the members of Assiut community. CEMEX Egypt Foundation, the Corporate Social Responsibility arm of CEMEX Egypt, distributed 1600 packet of meat among the unprivileged families of Assiut villages surrounding ACC plant.

The meat distribution process was organized in collaboration with 29 local NGOs in Assiut. The process started on Monday the 28th of August, 2017 and continued for three days benefiting 1600 families from the villages of: Mankabad, Al Bora, Gahdam, Bani Ghaleb, El Hadaia, Abu El Kasem, Azbet El Geish, Salam, Bahig, Manfalout, Bani Magd, Nazh Karar, Dairout, Senbo, Assiut City, El Sadat District as well as other villages.

This initiative is an annual tradition that CEMEX Egypt is always keen to organize to celebrate this holy occasion with the surrounding community, and contribute to the well-being of the unprivileged members of Assiut villages.
